Bleaching kits for teeth whitening are basically for home treatment to whiten your teeth, and can be picked off the shelves, without much fuss. They come with a tray mouthpiece, and whitening gel tube. This treatment is for people who cannot afford visits to the dentists, and who would like to save time, and get their teeth whitened in the comfort of their hope. This method doesn’t cost much money, and it is also very simple to use. How does it work?
Bleaching kits for teeth whitening work through the gel that has been put into the mouthpiece trays, which are placed in the mouth and retained there for about half an hour for each treatment. It is very cheap and easy to use. It works by putting whitening gel on the mouthpiece tray and placing it in your mouth for approx.30 minutes for each session of treatment. For good noticeable whitening of teeth, you must go through this rigor for two or three weeks. Though within a couple of days whitening can be discerned, you should continue with the treatment for 4 weeks, so that it can last a while.
The bleaching kits for whitening teeth contain hydrogen peroxide placed in the mouthpiece trays. This peroxide is known for its chemical action on the teeth which can easily de-stain the discolored teeth. When buying the kit, ensure the quantity of whitening gel in the kit is minimal, compared to what the dentists use. A note of caution – this will not work on dentures, crowns or false teeth. Bleaching kits are only for natural teeth.
The advantage of using these bleaching kits for whitening is its easy availability – they can be picked up over the counter, and they are certainly cheaper option than visiting a dentist for teeth whitening. Dentists would charge not only his fees, but add it up with costs of whitening gel and facilities provided in the clinic, whereas it would cost over the counter only $20.
The disadvantages of bleaching kit for whitening teeth include – lower quantity of hydrogen peroxide gel when you compared to what the dentists provide. These bleaching kits have a mouthpiece tray, which is a standard sized one, which may not fit your mouth. If it doesn’t fit your mouth, the gel may not be able to whitening the entire teeth, and on the other hand, it might reach the gums causing gum irritation, sore gums and even gum ulcers. On the other hand, dentists order a perfect mouthpiece to fit your mouth
On the other hand, in the dentist’s office you will find a special kind of gel being applied to gums, with a plastic strip placed over it. This will help gel not to leak into the gums or touch it. They also provide a rubber shield to cover gums. Such protection is not available in the bleaching kits for whitening at home.
